Denham Springs High PYPM Students
meet with Senator David Vitter

Senator Vitter was instrumental in getting LAMADD $95,000 in grant funding to continue with the PYPM program as well as add other underage drinking components, such as forming Youth in Action teams and UMADD to college campuses. The PYPM program is being taught by students from Denham Springs High School to area elementary school students. The teens go to elementary classes and teach lessons to help prevent the underage consumption of alcohol including lessons on  "how consuming alcohol affects the growing brain."
